i’ve been enjoying mav’s philosophical discussion on art & life….

yesterday i took a break from my computer and decided to reinvigorate myself and go on an artist date. i put on a hand-me-down strapless tea-dyed dress {truly} from my friend kate. added a little bolero and sandals…because i could, it was blazing hot! ran back into the house to grab my sunglasses. winter is tricky in sf… it’s been 3 or 4 or more days {i’m not sure bc i’m usually inside at class or my studio!} of blissfully hot weather.

my clashing colors… having newly red hair makes me want to wear strange combos of red, pink, magenta and even peach:

my latte & crumbs from my cinnamon morning bun that i slowly unravel to the center of sweetness & note-taking appreciation of the day… being grateful:

life is art
taken at one of my favorite inspirational places called creativity explored, “a nonprofit visual arts center where artists with developmental disabilities create, exhibit, and sell art”.

all of this documenting and appreciating the art around me invigorates me to create. because art IS life and life is art. immediate questions come: what do you see? what are your colors? how do you crop the image? what do you savour? what do you love? what is your truth? your authentic vision? your touchstone? your wings? your grounding place? where do you want to curl up? where do you want to roll down a grassy knoll? turn up the saturation? grab your camera, paints, yarn, colors and enjoy your weekend xo
